Visual Review

The ruby color looks attractive in the glass. The wine is clear and bright, showing good visual intensity and a color that fits the style nicely. It certainly knows how to make a positive entrance and sets expectations for an enjoyable experience.
Aroma Review
The aromas are expressive and immediately noticeable, offering a pleasing range of scents that keep the glass interesting. Immediately, ripe strawberry takes center stage, bringing a generous fruit character, while notes of clove add a touch of spice and complexity. Finally, gentle vanilla aromas round everything out, creating a bouquet that feels inviting and well put together. The aromatic profile is easily the strongest part of the experience and suggests a wine with plenty to offer.

Taste Review
Unfortunately, the palate struggles to live up to those expectations. Indeed, the wine is light in body, with very soft tannins, which could have made for an elegant and refreshing Pinot Noir. Instead, the acidity dominates the experience to an uncomfortable degree, pushing the balance noticeably out of place. The flavors are distinct enough, but they arrive alongside impressions of tired fruit, hints of rotten wood, and a lingering bitterness that becomes increasingly distracting as the wine develops in the mouth.
Undeniably, there is some moderate complexity present, and the finish lasts long enough to leave an impression. The problem is that it is not an impression many people will want to revisit. The aftertaste carries the same harsh acidity and bitter notes, making the finish more unpleasant than rewarding.
To be fair, this bottle leaves me wondering whether my sample was faulty. Evidently, the quality suggested by the appearance and aroma feels disconnected from what happened on the palate. As it stands, the wine was barely enjoyable and ultimately disappointing, despite several encouraging signs.
