Visual Review

The Deccan Plateau Sauvignon Blanc makes a very good first impression in the glass, with a pale straw hue and crystal clear, brilliant appearance. It has the kind of freshness that looks immediately inviting, with an intense colour that feels just right for the style. Nothing overdone, just a beautifully polished pour.

Aroma Review

The nose is where it really starts showing off. Pronounced and expressive, it offers plenty of variety, moving from exotic pineapple to refreshing grapefruit, with lovely pastoral notes of straw adding a gentle earthy touch. The aromas are vivid without becoming chaotic, and the overall nose is very good. Sauvignon Blanc doing what Sauvignon Blanc should, but apparently with a little extra enthusiasm.

Taste Review

On the palate, it is light in body and viscosity, with light alcohol warmth and medium acidity that keeps everything lively. The medium sweetness is particularly well judged, never cloying, and sits comfortably alongside the acidity. Flavours are distinct and nicely defined, while the excellent balance makes the wine remarkably easy to enjoy. There is enough complexity to keep things interesting, but it never feels like the wine is trying to write a thesis about itself.

The finish is long and pleasantly persistent, leaving a clean, enjoyable impression. It is already drinking beautifully, with average potential for ageing, although there is little reason to wait around when it is this much fun right now.
