Visual Review

From the first pour, this wine makes a striking impression. The color is richly ruby with a lovely opacity that hints at depth without being murky. It’s clear and intense in the glass, and the bold hue feels exactly right for a Merlot that’s here to make a statement. No shy swirls here, this one owns its color with confidence.
Aroma Review
The nose is where the fun really begins. The aromas don’t hit you like a freight train, but they do roll in with confident variety. There’s a delicious wave of black cherry, rounded out with comfortable ripe strawberry, and then, surprise, vanilla shows up like it just walked off the set of a baking show. It’s rich, warm, and very much in charge. The overall nose is well-crafted, with a very good structure and a touch of indulgence that doesn’t tip into excess.

Taste Review
It’s dry, but not austere. The acidity is on the lighter side, which makes it immediately easygoing. Medium body keeps things smooth, while the alcohol gives just enough warmth to keep you cozy without burning the house down. The tannins are light, subtle, and fine, like a well-edited paragraph, they get the job done without calling attention to themselves.
Flavour-wise, this wine isn’t whispering. It’s got presence. The intensity is strong, the complexity keeps you interested with each sip, and the balance is spot-on. It never leans too hard in any direction. The finish is long and pleasant.
Chateau Indage Chantilli Merlot delivers a very enjoyable experience. It’s bold but not brash, complex without being confusing, and just the right amount of dramatic. With structure like this, it’s got very good aging potential, though honestly, good luck keeping it in the cellar that long.
