Visual Review

The ruby colour looks vibrant and inviting, with just enough depth to hint that there’s something interesting waiting inside the glass. Indeed, the wine stays bright, clean and brilliantly clear, looking every bit as polished as it should.

Aroma Review

The nose follows through with plenty of charm. It doesn’t leap out of the glass shouting for attention, but it steadily unfolds into a delightful mix of ripe strawberries, mysterious raspberries and cheerful red currants. Additionally, the fruit feels fresh rather than jammy, giving the wine an energetic character. Furthermore, there’s enough variety to stay engaging.

Big Banyan Shiraz

Taste Review

On the palate, everything seems to click naturally into place. Firstly, the medium body gives enough presence without becoming heavy, while the bright acidity keeps the wine lively from beginning to end. Also, light tannins make every sip smooth and approachable, allowing the juicy red fruit to remain centre stage. Not surprisingly, the alcohol stays perfectly integrated, adding warmth without ever becoming noticeable, and the dry finish avoids any unnecessary sweetness. The flavours remain clear and persistent, lingering pleasantly long after each sip.

What really stands out is the balance. Every element feels carefully measured, creating a wine that is expressive without becoming overwhelming. There’s enough complexity to reward careful tasting, yet it remains wonderfully easy to enjoy casually. It’s one of those bottles that manages to satisfy both the curious wine enthusiast and the friend who simply wants “something nice.” That trick is far less common than many wineries would like you to believe.
